What's PCD?

PCD (Polycrystalline Diamond) is micron sized diamond particles which are sintered together with cobalt at extreme high temperatures and pressure. The metal and PCD particles are bonded on top of a layer of tungsten carbide.

The PCD distinct structure is regarded as a composite material, with the resiliency of tungsten carbide and the strong abrasive resistance and thermal conductivity of diamond. This makes PCD an excellent cutting tool for the woodworking industry and other non-ferrous material like aluminum, acrylic, brass, plastics...

PCD outlives tungsten carbide by approximately 50-80 times. It is recommended for cutting particle, HDF & MDF boards, melamine, resin, paper faced and raw, HPL, foil covered and veneered board, aluminum, plastics, copper materials. It has a high level of accuracy.
